Eggs-actly perfection!

Every year leading up to Easter I get the same call from my sister wanting to know how to make the perfect egg! She is an amazing cook, but admittedly she can not make a boiled egg to save her life! She holds the keys to all the old family recipes from our grandmother, all those wonderful old country recipes like pierogis and stuffed cabbage. I cherish all the wonderful recipes, but let's be honest some staple items like a boiled egg can cause stress. I'm here to help, NO WORRIES I got you!

It's not hard it just requires a bit of patience.

Are you wanting to boil eggs to decorate, deviled eggs, perfect egg salad or just some extra protein for salads? These instructions will not let you down.

Here's the steps-

1st Place the best quality eggs you can get in a single layer in a large pan, I prefer Eggland's Best, in the pan without water.

2nd Fill with tap water to fully cover the eggs. I like to have my pan filled about 3/4 with water.

3rd Now turn on the burner to medium.

4th Allow to come to a rolling boil.

5th Once it boils place the lid on the pan

6th Take OFF the heat.

7th Set the timer, 15-18 minutes

8th Now drain 1/2 the water off and add cool water.

9th Here's the magic sauce, you have to have the water warm enough to peel the eggs BUT not to hot to burn your fingers!!!

10th As you peel the eggs, they are HOT BE CAREFUL They peel easily but you must be patient.

11th Rinse the eggs to make sure there isn't any shell left on the eggs.

12th Now you are ready to enjoy!
